Our main offices are located in Brossard, Quebec and Mississauga, Ontario. We are currently seeking candidates for a position of Contract Administrator. The Contract Administrator is responsible for the follow-up and application of the contract on site (field). He or she must ensure that the contractual positioning is done at all times and within contractual delays. The Contract Administrator is also responsible to track and report costs on site. The Contract Administrator understands all the links and interactions between the contractual documents with our clients, suppliers and other Operational units of Voith. He or she creates the contractual awareness and guides peers toward suitable actions in accordance with the contractual requirements, obligations and rights : Manage and coordinate all contractual issues pertaining to the project, including the selection of strategies in order to avoid claims from clients, suppliers and other Operational units of Voith. In the event of a claim, the Contract Administrator coordinates the preparation of the claim documents as well as the strategy selection with the Project Manager. He or she supports negotiations linked to claims. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all documentation pertaining to a potential claim. It is the Contract Administrator?s responsibility to issue a daily report as well as take photographs when relevant. He or she ensures that meeting minutes are noted and reflect the actions taken as well as agreements between the parties. Review any in-bound contractual communication and transmit any commercial/contractual risk to the project team. He or she must support the Project Manager in addressing each risk/opportunity adequately. Take part in the project meetings in order to be involved in project issues and be informed of areas requiring his or her involvement. Collect and verify costs and expenses incurred in the financial system (SAP); consolidate this information in the forecast tool and supply the data on the current costs to the cost controller; Support the cost controller in order to produce a cost estimate for upcoming work on site (with the planner); Analyze the results of cost estimates compared to the initial budget and collect necessary data in order to explain the differences in the planned budget or a previous estimate; Ensure proper expense classification on site according to the reasons for the expenses (corrective measures & variations due to delays, defective materials and design issues); Prepare documentation and support the weekly revision of projects in order to validate the operational costs committed; Help to develop and follow the key performance indicators; Propose improvements / initiatives of the information systems currently in place in order to facilitate the follow-up of cost information; Work in conjunction with the cost controller in order to identify the best solutions for cost control of each project. Education and experience : Bachelor of Engineering or Business Administration, or all other relevant discipline. 5 years of experience in similar positions Experience in construction an asset Bilingual (French English); Ability to read and fully understand a contract Excellent knowledge of MS Excel (macros, pivot tables, programming) Knowledge of MS Access and SAP would be an asset. The selected candidate will initially be assigned to Waneta site in British Columbia . The selected candidate must be autonomous and possess excellent follow-up and communication skills.
